(in)Xclusion

In February 2012 the Occupy Movement was in full thrust. For the briefest of moments the world unified in protest against the 1% - a global, market driven force that transcends borders.

(in)Xclusion was, in its own way, an occupation of solidarity. We invited artists and audience alike to share space for 24 hours and explore the principles of unconditional love, generosity and hope for a better future.

Initiated as a direct response to the Occupy movement taking place in parks and public squares across the globe (in)Xclusion was (in many ways) an unrepeatable event that captured the imagination of the time.

A 24 hour occupation of Live Art took place at Patrick Studios (Leeds) featuring work from over 40 artists. Over 400 people attended the event with many sleeping over for the duration of the event. We operated an open kitchen as well as providing a Sunday lunch for around 100 people provided by the wonderful Emmaus Leeds.

Documentation from the event can be found HERE
